Qualifications: Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Nathan Sewell received his degree in Art History from Columbia University in New York City. He returned to Nashville where he obtained his MD at Vanderbilt University. He received his general and plastic surgery training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. In 2005, Dr. Sewell moved with his wife Leigh to the Bay Area to join Blackhawk Plastic Surgery, a renowned Bay Area cosmetic surgery practice. Dr. Sewell operates at the newly opened and fully accredited Blackhawk Surgery Center in Danville, where anaesthesia is provided by a board-certified anaesthesiologist. Dr. Sewell is also the Chief Plastic Surgeon at San Joaquin Regional Hospital, where he performs complex reconstructive operations and teaches the art and science of plastic surgery to residents.
