- 53-602. NAME.
(1) The name of each limited liability company as set forth
in its articles of organization must contain the words "Limited Liability
Company" or "Limited Company" or the abbreviation "L.L.C.," "L.C.," "LLC" or
"LC." The word "Limited" may be abbreviated as "Ltd." and the word "Company"
may be abbreviated as "Co." If the limited liability company, however, is a
professional services limited liability company as defined in section 53-615,
Idaho Code, the name of the limited liability company as set forth in the
articles of organization must end with the words "Professional Company" or the
abbreviation "P.L.L.C." or "PLLC." * * *
- 53-605. NATURE OF BUSINESS.
(1) A limited liability company may be
organized under this chapter for any lawful purpose. If the purpose for which
a limited liability company is organized or its activities make it subject to
a special provision of law, the limited liability company shall also comply
with that provision.
(2) Except as limited in the articles of organization or operating
agreement, the limited liability company shall have and exercise all powers
necessary or convenient to effect its purposes including the power to render
professional services, if each member of a limited liability company who
renders professional services in Idaho is licensed or registered to render
those professional services pursuant to applicable Idaho law and section
53-615, Idaho Code.
