I was mislead with service that I ordered. Was told that I had HD channels, but was told other when installation. Now they want me to pay $300 for it.
Saturday 9/19, I changed my cable service with At&t. I was told about the Uverse service and how great the package is. I chose it thinking it would be great. Gave them my credit card number for shipping of the equipment. Later that day I called back for more info on my package. They couldn't find me in the system under uverse. Asked me maybe I had directv, told them NO, because I remember Uverse. They transferred me to directv because they said I had no account. Directv had my info and told me that uverse was NOT in my area so I was routed to them. I was upset, but she told me about the great service they had to offer and about the HD DVR and the 45 HD channels I would have. I was a little discouraged because I need more then 45 HD channels, but thought I would try it out. She set me up with the service and told me someone will be there the next day. They came the next day and after installing, the guy told me he moved my HD cords. I was like "WHY", he said you don't have a HD box by us, and told me he started to ask me but didn't since he did notice my tv's are HD. I was PISSED OFF. He spent almost 3 hours hooking up and didn't mention it was NOT HD. I told him I requested HD and about the 45 channels I was told. He apologized and told me I need to hurry and call Customer service so they can give me the box, but I would have to pay $300 for it. I called as soon as he left, I had the service for 55 minutes at the time and was told NO, I didn't request that. YES, I did request it I explained. I told her if I knew that it didn't come with HD I wouldn't have switched. I told her I want the best package with ALL channels the first time and asked for HD. She told me I didn't ask for that. We argues about this because I KNOW what I asked. At this point twice I was mislead. First thinking I had Uverse, then to find out its Directv, then to find out its NOT HD. She told me all she can do is charge me RIGHT NOW the one time fee for $289.95 for the HD DVR, and credit me the next couple bills. NO, I want my HD DVR and don't have $300 to give over the phone for a service I REQUESTED. This is 2009, who doesn't want HD. She sat there telling me how she understands my frustration but can't do anything but charge me. Then told me about the satellite they would need to put on my roof. WHAT??? I didn't know they put a sateliite on my roof. NO ONE explained this to me and I feel VERY MISINFORMED. I REGRET leaving comcast and plan to request their service if this is NOT resolved. I was a customer for 2 hours and you can't rectify the mistake YOU made? I told them cancel my service and re-do the order so I can get the promo that was introduced to me. They said I would have to wait 2 years for a new promo. I was only a customer for 2 hours, she told me 2 minutes, 2 years, it don't matter and all I can do now is pay or cancel the service. I called again in the evening to see if I can get this issue resolved. Called with my dad on 3 way you was upset and referred me to you guys. She told him the same thing and that she was sorry about who I spoke to the first time. I'm very UPSET and everyday when I turn my TV on I get an attitude because it looks HORRIBLE. If I knew about the satellite they put up, I would have told them NO because I can't get that on my apartment roof without the landlords permission. She is fine with it, but was upset I didn't inform her before. That's how quick you guys were to charge me and hook up the following day. I can't believe that the reps would argue with me and not satisfy a customer they had for 2 hours. I was upset about not having Uverse, then have to deal with this. She even told me about the ondemand,how can you have on demand when you don't have HD box?????? I was TRULY fooled by you all and I REGRET leaving comcast.
