My property management is upgrading balconies and decided no dishes could be connected to the balcony railing or building in any manner, once they are completed. I called Direct TV. They sent out 2 techs on 2 separate occasions to install my dish on a tripod. Both times I was told the dish was too big for a tripod. The last conversation I had with Direct TV, I was told the only option they could offer me beyond a tripod, since the techs insist it will not go on a tripod, was to regrettably cancel my service. The woman stated that they would of course waive the early cancellation fee, since it was the ONLY option they were giving!! Now I am being charged a cancellation fee of $453, and being told that the fee is valid. I did not ask for the cancellation. I called them for a resolution!! I simply agreed to the cancellation when I was told there was not another option, and the fee would be waived. I am not paying a fee for something I did not initiate/ask for. Every time I speak to someone at Direct TV, they say the fee is valid. They do not consider my story EVER. The have no sense of logic or reason. I am baffled. Their collections dept just denied my request for the fee to be waived. I am stumped, by I am NEVER paying them a cent for something THEY initiated and said was my only option. Absurd. I contacted the BBB, but I have a feeling that is useless.
