Main thread--Uhaul Billing Complaints
State: Minnesota Posted: 09/04/2009 Subject: Horrible Company/ Must Read!!! Comment: I made a reservation from U-haul a month in advance. In that months time I have had my reservation through them switched from three different locations. Well the last switch they pulled on me was the day before move day. They called me to tell me I had to pick up the truck 20 miles from my home. I told them forget it and canceled the reservation. It didn't stop there. They charged me for the cancelation. My girlfriend then makes a reservation through uhaul right after I cancelled thinking it may be better at a different location. She reserved a 24ft truck that the rep promised would be there at 08:15am. When we went to pick up the truck the next day. We waited in line for 45 minutes. When there was only four other people ahead of us. They gave us the keys to a 14ft truck. We told them that not what we reserved. The guy tells us to take it or leave it. We are moving an have to be moved out by noon. We take the truck and in the process of driving we realize that the turn signals don't work and the check engine light came on. So to sum it all up we got jerked around on the resevation. We were given the wrong and unsafe truck. They basically stole fifty dollars off of my Visa. Never again will I ever deal with U-haul. |
