I signed up for DirecTV in June 2008. I actually read and understand the contract I signed. After nearly a year, DirecTV starts charging more per month. My contract is quite clear (to me at least) that I get the programming package I chose at the agreed price for 18 months and I owe cancellation fees if I terminate service before 18 months is up. They just keep lying and blowing smoke and mirrors around that has nothing to do with the contract. They used high pressure sales on my wife to get her to 'agree' to a reduced package at a higher cost than I originally signed up for. So now I am paying more, and I don't even get the one channel I used to watch, History Channel. These people are evil, pure and simple. It is a new form of terrorism.
