I had Directv since 2003 and needed to replace a defective receiver. After receiving the receiver in July 2008 the bill kept going up and I decided to cancel. Boy what a mess. They stated that I owed a cancellation fee of #150.00 this amount has since grown to $182.00 for some unknown reason. I refuse to call the customer service because I get some know it all person who is trained to stated over and over that I owe this money and won't listen to my side of the story which is: I was never told that my service would start over if I replaced a product. What a crazy underhanded way to make money off of poor innocent people. Quess what!?? They refuse to cancel the charge, accepting the fact that there people are right and told me about an early cancellation fee.To show how sly they are the replacement receiver that I receiver was re cycled and had the date 2004 on the back of the receiver.
