Subject: Billing practices

On 26 June 09, I called to cancel Directv service. I asked the Rep. if there would be any further charges and he stated there would not be any further fees or charges on our account. Yesterday, 8 July 09, I received a statement from Directv and they have charged my debit card $40.95 on 3 July 09, without my authorization. When I called to speak to them, I was given the "Customer Agreement" mumbo jumbo! I also contacted the Corporate Office today, 9 July 09, and didn't get anywhere with this person either. Same thing from her about the "Customer Agreement."
What is going on with this company that they can get away with doing this to people?!
