On June 9th 2009 I went in the Uhaul place on Rancho in Las Vegas to rent a 5X8 trailer. I was paying for it with a credit card that was in my wifes name which they would not accept so I used my debit card. The men hooked up my trailer to my SUV, I also got a dolly and a lock. I checked out the person gave me a receipt and away I went. We loaded the Uhaul and around 2:15pm we headed for Texas. We spent the night in Laughlin at which time (6:30pm) I checked my cell phone messages and heard a very rude message from Rob Mccouley the manager telling me I had stolen the uhaul without paying for it and he had reported it stolen to the police and that I needed to bring it back immediately or I would be arrested. I called them back and spoke with the rudest person I've ever spoken to (a woman) that would not even listen to what I had to say, she kept interrupting me telling me I stold the trailer and needed to get to a uhaul place and pay for it. The next morning we stopped in Kingman Az at a uhaul place and the owner looked it up and found that the Uhaul dealership in Las Vegas had authorized my wifes credit card and a charge for $549.00 had gone through. I called Rob McCouley in Las Vegas and he said he did not report it stolen and that the charge had gone through but that we would never be able to rent from Uhaul again. He got the transaction approved about 10 minutes after he left me that awful message on my cell phone telling me I was a thief, but did he bother to call me back and tell me that, NO he did not.
What a miserable human being and manager this man is. The surprising thing about all this is that my wife did not authorize this transaction and we will be disputing the charge when our credit card bill comes in all because the undue harrassment and treatment we received from this place
