I opened a new checking account last month with gov. check and a personal check. BA put 14 day hold on both even though gov. check is cashable anywhere. Personal check was held for 12 days - 2 less than told after I complained. BA returned all checks and charged overdraft and NSF fees for each transaction. Customer service told me the check was being returned to me -WRONG - it cleared my other bank in one day as evidenced by BA stamp on cancelled check. Bounced checks also incurred $25 return fee and one a $29 late fee on gas card with $75 balance. BA wont make good on any of the fees - daily battle. This should be class action suit! I will find a way to get these fees back - after all they are robbing me, and everyone else. Customer service is non existent. Dont do business here - save yourself the trouble!!
