Main thread--Uhaul Billing Complaints
State: Georgia Posted: 04/25/2009 Subject: UHaul Consumer Relations/Reservations Comment: My wife and I made a reservation for April 25th for a local GA move, pickup at 1:30pm. I received a call from a "Marvin" per the toll free number supposedly to confirm pick up time & location. He was instantly rude and stated we were "out of luck", since my wife placed the order I gave the phone to her. She proceeded to swear at her and said she was "s@it out of luck" and "I don't give a d@mn what the toll free number said". He then proceeded to tell her if she wanted the rental we could pick up at 9pm and return by 8am the following morning and if it was not back by 8am we would be charged numerous charges...since it would "f@ck" up his reservations for the day. My wife was shaking & in tears and I hung up the phone in the middle of his rant. We couldn't even get 3 words in he was so horribly rude and I was appalled anyone would treat customers, especially a women in this manner. We called the toll free number and a very nice associate Jennifer assisted my wife - yet we are unable to pick up any truck until 4:30p and the size is completely incorrect. We are now paying for movers who can not load a truck. If anyone knows the number to file a formal complaint with the corporate office, I would really appreciate the guidance. Also, how do we receive the compensation promised on website - $50 if equipment and/or time is not met? |
