I received a paper statement on 3/31/2009 with the following info:

Current Balance: $0.00
Auto Pay: Not Setup
Paperless Billing: Not Enrolled

Bill Statement Date 03/26/2009
Previous Balance -24.01
Payments -395.99
Current Charges & Fees 0.00
Adjustments & Credits 420.00
Taxes 0.00
Amount Due $0.00

Important Notice Look for an equipment return kit to arrive in the mail within the next 7 days. If you do not receive your kit, please call us. You must return all leased receivers to DIRECTV in order to avoid being charged a non-returned equipment fee. We are sorry to lose you as a customer and hope to welcome you back someday soon. Entertainment continues from DIRECTV. "Please call us to reactivate your services today".
I never received return kits as of 3/30/2009


The following information is from my conversation with DirecTv.

03/31/2009 9:56 am CDT

Employee Name: Jean
Employee #: 100376241

DirecTv Account Number: xxxxxxxx

DirecTv does not need an authorization to charge any form of previous payment info they have on file.
Jean further replied, they sent me a "Customer Agreement" with my first bill and the information was included in this "Customer Agreement".

This "Customer Agreement" requires no proof of receipt.

Jean also,

Refused to send proof of contract or any documentation with my signature.

Refused to send any authorization or confirmation or reference number for payment of $395.99

Refused to verify that I am not in any auto pay program for this acct. "Auto Pay: Not Setup"

Refused to admit I was not notified, by any means, of amount due before charging my credit card.
