Comment:
According to the last comment, which stated that payment in full in April covers all of May.
I paid in February, the full amount, and figured it would cover the month of March per the billing practices staement on the Charter web site.
Well they tell me that my payment in February cover Feburaty 9, to March 9th.
I had canceled Charter and expected a pro-rated refund for the full month of March. When I first canceled I asked about how much I would recieve and a rep told me about $55.00. I never saw that. They prorated my bill and I have $10.00 credit. They prorated my bill from February 9th to March 9th when I paid the bill in full on the 20th of Feb.
So they are saying that I paid the past MONTH of February on the bill I paid on the 20th of February?
Makes my head spin. I called and talked to three reps and sent an email and they still talk the same jibberish.
I am 72 and I live on a fixed income. The reason I canceled my account with Charter is because my hometown phone company has DSL and it works just as good and I only pay $19.95 a month for my internet service as opposed to $45.35 that Charter charged.
I will help in a class action suit it all of you want to get together on this.
I live in a building that gets the basic television package free. We signed a contract and then I heard one lady say that she pays such and such. They were charging her the BASIC plus the extned basic. I told one lady that she was paying too much. Well the story goes on. Charter had to pay these people the amount that they overcharged. I think they knowingly did it. I think also, that they did not return as much as they had charged the people. This probably was going on for years.
I am sick of these companies that rip of the public that they are supposed to serve.
