I bought a '69 Must. Conv. from Oscar.
The ad said "Drop in a motor and cruise by summer."
If you dropped a motor in this car it would fall to the ground. Oscar sent photos, (30 footers) after many questions, he finally admitted the front rails would need replacement. In the end, the front rails were not nearly the only problem. All 4 rails and all the torque boxes would not weigh much more than a six pack of empty cans! I literally pushed my finger through the driver side rear rail. The floor he said was "Solid" was patched up with street signs, some had been nailed in place with roofing nails (No weld) and the floor was slathered with roofing tar to cover rust.
The fenders and quarters were more plastic than metal. the doors had been re-skinned twice and were full of plastic besides, the inner fenders were all bad and the firewall had been butchered.
I have the photos that Oscar sent me, and photos of the car during disasembly. The car had also been stripped of many of the hard to find parts before it was sent. These guys even moved the two hubcaps to the other side for the photos they sent to make it look like they were all 4 there! I did not pay NEAR as much as some of the others who were ripped off, but that "Drop in a motor and cruise" car was actually a scrapper refugee! I have purchased nearly 20K of parts since purchasing the car and have nearly 20K more in parts and work to do before the car can be driven.
YES YOU CAN BELIEVE THE BAD YOU READ ABOUT THEM.
