Subject: Never given proper discount, and was lied to

A year ago when I signed up for service I was to receive the current directv discount ($20 off) plus the AAA $10 a month discount in addition. I confirmed this verbally numerous times the night I signed up for service. I was only given a $10 directv discount, plus the $10 AAA discount.
When my Bill came the discount was not correct. When I called I was told to wait one billing cycle. When it was wrong again I called and was told to wait one more billing cycle.
The proper discount was never applied and I called again and spent an hour on the phone with a customer rep that just kept repeating the same thing to me over and over.
When I told him I wanted to cancel my service he boasted of their cancellation fees, so I asked to talk to their customer retention department.
The lady there was very nice, but in the end, she lied to me. I was told that the AAA discount was indeed in addition to my directv discount and she would need to submit a form so my case could be investigated by those who could look into what the directv discount was back when I signed up. I was wold in 4-6 weeks I would receive a letter. This was back in June of 2008
