Subject: Disconnected my service - WRONG ADDRESS
Comment:
I was THRILLED to get to work from home on Wed March 4 2009! At noon I noticed a Charter van outside my home and the tech was doing something to my cable box. I didn't think anything about it, left my house for an errand. When I came back 45 mins later, my phone, cable tv and internet were down. I called Charter, they apologized for the inconvience and said they didn't have a technician in the area that they could send over. I was supposed to be working, internet is REQUIRED! I explained this to the cust ser rep, they again apologized. To make a long story short, my service was turned back on at 9pm that night and I ended up having to take a half of a day vacation because of this. I called the customer service line the next morning and asked for compensation for them disconnecting my service and having to waist a half of a day of vacation...they apologized again and said they would give me $4.33 credit for one day service. They disconnected the WRONG address, cost me half of a day of vacation and give me $4.33 credit????
