I am experiencing the exact same thing and why don't we all get together and form a class action lawsuit against them? Before they go bankrupt?
I openened an account in December. Was charged $109. Then still in December I received a bill for $137. I called and complained. Suddenly the girl had an epiphany, I only owed half, for my second month (January) I said, send me out a new bill. She did, for $137. I called back. She double speaked me and then we ended up arguing with her arguing my side, I only owed half. So I paid it on the phone. within a week, I suddenly owed $175. This was not even a month into my service. I called and was doublespeaked and so I cancelled. I cancelled and cancelled and cancelled. Finally a man came out and picked up my equipment, left me a receipt with his name, the date (they left right before DirecTv got there!) and some reference numbers. Four days ago (which was 10 days later) I got a letter threatening legal action and itemizing a list/cost of equipment I never had and curiously failed to return, plus the stuff I already returned. I called. They have no record of this visit or pick up. I told them they were harrassign me and I felt like I was being stalked by a scorned lover. I have since contacted the FCC and will take it all the way I can. Please advise me, people, I am a bulldog about things like this, but they seem to be like a secret society. Don't they?
