When my account was setup with ATT I avoided paying a deposit by agreeing to allow them to debit my account monthly. I was emphatic that it could only occur after the 15th of every month & the ATT representative AGREED to arrange that so we proceeded. After having my CC stolen at xmas I realized I needed to change the billing info with ATT by the 15th. When I called I found out that my card was declined in December as well as January too. I understood the Jan decline since that card had been cancelled right before Christmas and I was late in contacting them but I didn't understand the December decline. When I questioned how that was possible I was then told that ATT bills me on the 10th not the 15th & that now I was going to have to pay the original deposit anyway just to continue service since I had incurred two declines of the automatic draft on my account. I tried explaining the situation since ATT's representative made an agreement on behalf of ATT and then ATT didn't honor it I didn't feel it was fair to be penalized by them for their mistake in December. I also pointed out that due to their mistake I had already incurred at least 1, if not 2, NSF charges from my bank as a result of, again, ATT not honoring the terms of our agreement.

ATT doesn't care about resolving the situation in any manner other than what was offered and said they could then forward me to the billing office to modify the billing date going forward. By then, I was furious and have no confidence that they would get it right the second time around either and as a result cancelled all my services with them and will NEVER do business with them again. Not that any of it matters to the INCOMPETENT and EVIL ATT whose customer service, issue resolution process, and business practices are so beyond shameful they should be out of business entirely.
