AT&T ridiculous business practices. I could not get online, so I called AT&T for help. They said it was my modem, that I needed a new one. I asked them how much, they said $40.00. I said ok. Then I get my bill and they say they are charging me $75.00, 10 monthly payments of $7.50 each. I email them, then talk to someone on the phone. They apologize that the rep quoted me $40.00 that they did not have access to the "database". They say they'll get back with me on the amount I owe. I get an email today, saying that they are charging me the $75.00.
I email them to cancel phone and internet. They say I need to call. I call tell them I'm switching to another provider. They tell me that it had been too long, so they can't help me. So they cancel my service as requested. Hope $35.00 was worth AT&T losing a reliable paying customer.
If you tell someone a price, stick to it. Disgusting business practices. I will be looking elsewhere for service. May not get better service, but if not I'll look elsewhere.
