Subject: Early Termination Fees/Coverage
Comment:
I was true to AT&T-Cingualr-AT&T for just over 6 years. I purchased a new home in June 2008, and my coverage at my house went to zero. I was always losing coverage, through probably 6 or 7 phones and it continued. Yet I stayed with them. Finally, it was too much, once I was home from work there was no point in keeping my phone powered on. I could not make/ receive calls or text messages. I repeatedly called and had them open "cases" on the matter. I was told they drove through the area (http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/) and that the coverage was fine. BULL#@$T, then why was I making such a big deal. Why was I calling Customer "Service" 2-3 times a week. Because I had NO COVERAGE.
So I had to change carriers. I went with Verizon, and I can now make a call in any room of the house. Someone from that awful company told me I could possibly be credited on some of the Early Termination Fee. No way they said, they "drove" through the area and said I had service. Why did they not call me while I was home. They never would have been able to contact me. So, $170 for early termination. I was paying for service between the hours of whenever I was not at home. If I wanted to make a call I had to drive somewhere, haa. They could have sent me off happy, take $20 off the damn fee! Oh well, Happy 2009.
