Subject: $8 a day for long distance?
Comment:
Over Thanksgiving we disconnected my mother's AT&T long distance service and moved her to another carrier with unlimited long distance. She received a bill in the mail in Jan 2009 for $16 and change. When we called customer service we were told because she had the service for 2 days into the next billing cycle there "was nothing they could do".

This is nuts! They did not prorate the service for two days and since I was already speaking to a billing supervisor there was no one else that could help! $16 would go a long way to helping pay my mother's prescription costs but apparently AT&T needs the money more!!

I believe in paying for service that was used but this is insane. AT&T will be losing my home and business service and anyone else I can talk to!
