I called Charter on 6/12/08 to get services connected due to a flyer promoting services for a great price. I called to get the services connected and they charged me a total of $309 which I did not hesitate to pay with my debit card. Then when the tech gets there and connects the service, it wasn't the service that they advertised. I only had like 13 channels. So I called the exact same day to get the services disconnected and spoke to a supervisor that assured me that I would get a full refund. Here it is December 30th and NOTHING YET! I have called time after time and have spent hours at a time on the line with Charter. They keep giving me the run around and the last call I made they said that they were not going to refund the money because I owed them from a previous date. I have NEVER had an account with Charter and the name they gave me that had a previous account at my current address was someone that I do not know. I just moved into this city from another city and bought my house. So they have sent me to collections because there was a past due bill in someone else's name with my address-This has been SUCH A NIGHTMARE-$309 down the drain and I did not have ANY services with them EVER!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can sue as a group because I think we'll have more of a response from Charter in that case!
