Subject: What does it cost to not have Directv?
Comment:
I was a very satisfied Direct TV customer for over six years. Like so many others, my relationship with Direct TV came to a sad end. When my second receiver failed I called DirecTV and found out that it would cost a minimum of $20.00 in shipping fees to get going again, unless I wanted to up my monthly bill with the DVR or HD service. I elected to go to Best Buy and get a receiver rather than pay for the shipping. When I activated the new receiver I had to argue again to get all the services I had with the old receiver. I had finally had enough; I returned the receiver to Best Buy and called to cancel the service. It was then that I was told about a $340.00 cancellation fee and a $55.00 recovery fee. So the answer to the question is about $400.00 to not have the service at all! What a plan I think I will start a company and charge people to not use my service. I will be rich in no time!
