I rented a truck for 1 day for $19.95 @.49 per mile. They said that they needed a credit card to secure the vehicle, so I gave them my AMEX. I told them that I would be using a different card to pay. No problem...yea right! I brought the vehicle back the next day with the fuel level the same as when I rented it, paid the mileage. My total came to $39 and change to my debit card. The following day I was checking charges to my account and found an $80 charge from UHaul. According to their CS people, I will be getting a call within 48 hours. They submitted it as an overcharge and I should be getting the difference credited back. Sounds like some shaddy dealings if you asked me. How many other unsuspecting folks have they done this to?
