Charter has to be the worst company to deal with in regards to billing, customer service, and service issues. I have been trying to get a credit that is due to my account for 2 months. They had billed me twice in the same month through the automatic payment I set up through the web site. First off, they have been taking the money out on the 21st of the month consistantly for 2 years now. That month they took it out 4 days early, and then stated that it was not received - so they took out 2 payments the following month. After 4-5 phone calls, I was finally instructed to go to a local office, bring a bank statement showing the deduction, and they would process the credit. Well I did what they asked and it has been another 4-5 phones calls and 4-5 weeks and still no credit. I have been assured by each representative the they will make sure the issue is resolved, and that they are not just saying it. In the middle of this rediculous mess we were trying to resolve signal issues with our HD channels. At least the service department was better to deal with. We were still having issues with signal, so after I could not take anymore, we decided to cancel our service and go to DSL through Verizon, and add sattlelite TV. This has been a smooth transaction, unitl charter once again Screwed me. When the service person came to disconnect charter from the pole outside, he disabled our Telephone line. This was on a Friday, and our telephone company cannot come until Monday or Tuesday. Just when I thought I was done with them, they come to bite me in the tail. I have yet to see my refund for the overage on billing charges, and probably never will. If this turns into a Class Action Law suit, I hope they PAY. I usually have patience in abundance, but I cannot take anymore.
