Comment:
I signed up for the $14.99 internet only for six months with free installation.
When the first bill came, it was $24.99! I called and they said that the service was internet only. I got the promotion over the internet with a phone number to call. I called the toll free number and set up the service with the agrees upon price of $14.99/month for six months.
When I called to correct the problem, what should have been a simple "sorry, we'll correct that", was an hour long call to India. They insisted I was wrong and couldn't have ordered the service and that the no longer have that offer. I said to the girl "if you are quoted 14 rupees for nan bread and then billed 24 rupees when you check out of the store, you wouldn't pay the extra 10 rupees, would you? You would certainly demand the quoted price, or go elsewhere." She agreed, but said internet wasn't nan bread. I agreed to disagree that the principal was the same. Whether it's $24 or $24,000,000, it's still over charging.
I left MSN because of continued billing issues and overcharges that came from nowhere.
Somebody ought to start a communications company that is honest and strives to be so at all cost. Imagine - you'd have the entire market as long as you were honest.
If I ran my business this way I'd be in court all the time, if not in jail!
Is honesty too much to ask for in America? When I lived in Europe I never had constant problems like this.
