As an ex-employee of BB, I can tell you that the company is "bringing" back late fees in many markets, quietly, eg: not informing customers except for a sign placed somewhere on the front counter ( among so much clutter, you'd be hard-pressed to spot the signage, if it's up at all). Jim Keyes-(president of BB) told the executives at BB that eliminating late fees was the dumbest thing he'd ever heard of, and now he's putting them back in.
Also, new release pricing in many markets are going to $4.99 per movie, for 3-5 days.
