Subject: Directv Unfair Practices

Directv is an unscrupulous company that preys on customers.
After two years of service, every bill paid on time, I decided to take my business elsewhere.
I returned the equipment as required, but Directv claimed they never received it - though I have tracking numbers to prove delivery. They tried to bill my account $200, erasing a credit of $78.35 that they owed me.
When they finally sorted out that, they started to deduct money from the payment they owed me (a copy of my statement that they sent me clearly showed the owed $78.35) but yet they still deducted from that amount.
I have tried to contact the billing/finance department but they hide behind a veil of secrecy - it is impossible to contact them.
I wish to warn other users, look on the internet, you will see that Directv tries all sorts of tactics to cheat customers past and present.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DIRECTV! Look elsewhere for another provider.
