First off let me tell ALL of you people something, this also includes the "former employees" of Uhaul as well who have complained on here

I have read the complaints, and yes I have to admit there are many. Some of which do not make any sense to me. I am a current employee of U-Haul. And let me tell you something. From this end, yes, it is a very stressful Job, I have to deal with all types of people 7 days a week. But.. some of you people add alot to our stress level. Yes, I understand there are certain circumstances in your lives that are having you to use our Trucks, but.. when you push , shove and demand.. you are also making it harder on us to do our jobs to our full potential. As to the comment a former employee made on here, about uhaul forcing us to treat people badly.. THAT IS SO UNTRUE... I dont know where you were trained, but it wasnt by the same corp I was trained by. We treat ALL of our customers the same. Yes, some come in with horrible attitudes, but that is also because they have some type of stress they are going thru. You as an employee should have also been sympathetic to that individual. Uhaul does not tell us in training to treat people rudely or unkind.. they train us to treat the customer with respect, as some of you have obviously not done and therfore you are not cut for service oriented jobs..And yes, we do go through a training process, and we even have to become certified.
As to some who have complained of certain charges.. You have to understand.. Our system is set up to charge for certain things when we check our equiptment in. And yes that also includes fuel levels. If the equiptment is not read on level ground , the fuel level will be off.. you should have made sure the person that checked in your equiptment did that. I am sorry if that had upset you. I have even had customers bring me in fuel reciepts, case and point, if it is not read on level ground it will read different period. Yes we have to charge extra if you do not bring our equiptment back as scheduled. You do NOT seem to understand, you are not the only person using that equiptment. We have other reservations based on you bringing that equipment back as scheduled. And when you DONT, we have to locate other equiptment for the customer after you, that was relying on you bringing back on time. As to the equiptment not being safe.. We were trained to check EVERYTHING when that equiptment is checked in, from washer levels to break lights. We will not rent out a truck if a customer has complained about something being un safe. we will verify it.. if it is something serious we have it put down for repair.
Some of you former employees on here are simply bad mouthing the company, I am guessing due to be let go.. and for that I am sorry . But I have totally enjoyed working for this company and I hope to remain here for many years.
The customers I have are a joy, and many of them I am on first name basis with. I have had VERY few complaints with my equiptment. And the ones I have had are minor, and can be remedied immediatly. But WE NEVER ALLOW UNSAFE Equipment to leave our lot.
I am very sorry for some of the bad expieriences you have had with our products, but keep one thing in mind.. its not always the company..
Thank you
