Comment:
I purchased a Dell printer about three months ago for my Dell laptop computer. I installed the printer according to the instructions provided but I could not successfully print. I called the technical support number that is located in the owners manual, which is not the correct number. Their technical support is contracted outside the United States; therefore, it is difficult for me to understand the tech support person because of the accent. After being transferred about four times, I finally contacted the support team that handles my model type printer. I was on the phone with the tech support representative for three hours, he installed and uninstalled my printer, he checked the ports, drivers, he checked every perimeter within the system and he tells me the problem is I do not have enough memory. I need to purchase 1 gigabyte and my printer should work. I assumed he was right, after all he is a Dell technician and he should know the product, I assumed.I purchased the memory from Best Buy and had the Geek Squad to install the memory. When presenting the computer to the tech guy from Geek Squad ask why I was installing the extra memory because looking at my system I do not need the gigabyte. I told the tech support guy the whole story and he sail I don't think that the gigabyte will solve your problem. I said install it anyway and I will see what happens. I had the memory installed and the printer is not working. I called customer service and technical support and once again I was transferred to three tech support people and put on hold. I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes and I hung up out of frustration. I will be purchasing a desktop about a month from now and I did consider purchasing another Dell computer but after this experience, NO WAY!!!. I am going back to Hewlett Packard computers.
