I have the package deal with Charter for telephone, internet and TV. For several days, 4 in August all services from Charter were not working. I Called on my cell phone but no one could tell me when service would be restored. I was told I would be given credit for those days I was without service. When my bill arrived they had not given me credit, they drafted the exact amount they had been drafting. I called to ask about the credit and was told they gave me the credit. I said someone made a mistake on the billing because my account was drafted for the same amount as the last month. The girl, who said her name was Lola told me I was wrong that they had given me credit. I asked why then did they draft my account for the same amount as the last month. I could not make her understand and I certainly couldn't understand her telling me they gave me credit when they drafted the same amount as usual from my account. I asked if there was a manager or supervisor I could speak with. She told me I'd have to hang up and call back. After several attempts to get an answer I was repeatedly told they had given me credit. How can one be given credit when the bill remains the same as before? There is something wrong with their bookkeeping and they refuse to examine their mistakes and correct them. They do not understand when you tell them the credit was not given because it was not subtracted from the bill. Had I been given a credit my bill should have been less than the previous bills. Charter needs better communications with it's customers. You can spend several hours trying to get a person to discuss your Charter problems with only to get someone who doesn't understand what you're saying and you can't comprehend anything they are saying. It is downright insulting to pay money to a company who seems to care so little about whether or not you're satisfied with the service you're getting from them. How can they continue to offer this kind of service with no repercussion? Who is looking out for the consumer? Where does one turn to get help with these kind of companies?
