Subject: Worst customer service I have ever encountered!
Comment:
Made appointment to have charter hook up internet-took a week for them to come. Service tech called on Saturday but was sent to the wrong address in the wrong city.
Called and complained. Customer Service Rep apoligized, said they'd take care of it. Told me they'd credit me $20 but never asked for the correct address. Before she was about to hang up, I said "don't you want my correct address"? Oh yes, thank you.
Rescheduled appointment for Monday- never called and never showed.
Called on Tuesdya, customer service said the appointment was scheduled for Wednesday. Again, service tech sent to the wrong address in the wrong city.
Called and complained again. Demanded to speak to a supervisor. (total time on my cell phone for all calls approaching 2 hrs) After speaking to two people, the 3rd person to come on said they'd deleted the bad account and had it corrected. Also promised that I'd receieve a month of free service. Tech finially showed up, cable hooked up
Then the cable bill appears. No credit on my account. I call from work (so that I don't have to use any more minutes on my cell phone) they say they can't help me unless I have my account number in front of me. (is someone going to steal my credits? my name, phone number, and address not enough information?)
I call from home, nice lady in foreign country says she can only give me $45.00 credit for missed appointment. (they missed THREE of them!!) I ask to talk to supervisor (now approaching 3 hrs on my cell phone) He said he read the notes on my account and can only give me another $10.00. I told him that's unacceptable and that he needed to stand behind his company's good name and come through with the promise of a month free. He said he couldn't do that. No one can do that. After debating with him for 15 minutes, it was clear that nothing more would be done.
I will be calling Direct TV this evening (because the government allows cable monopoly's) and discountinuing my service.
All this after only having the service for only three weeks!
