State: Ohio Posted: 08/11/2008 Subject: General Lee - Rip Off Comment: The Luedtke Auto Group - sold me a 1969 Dodge Charger / General Lee / SHOW QUALITY CAR / replica with many false promises about 2 years ago for a premium $25k price - everything was wrong from day one - parts literally missing - I made major complaints with the owner and he finally sent a few parts to keep me happy - apparently somebody lied about my car inspection paperwork and even had some IL police officer sign off on the paperwork that said it was safe to drive to pass Ohio inspection before my car was delivered(no seat belts, no working lights, no working turn signals, bad to no brakes, no working gauges, etc.) - dissappointing bait and switch - I was promise that the quality was so nice that I could fly out and drive it home - I am sure the IL officer did not inspect the car that was sent to me since it was a wrecked lemon - I now have replaced eveything from the rear axle to the transmission, wiring harness, all gauges, control arms, sway bars, shocks and motor and just recently found by accident that they filled the frame here and there with silicone and then painted over to cover weak rusted out spots that could have easily failed under the torq of driving - luckily I found this major problem before it killed me or caused me an accident - now I have to pay a welder another $1500 to correct the frame and weld in new metal - I have all my receipts and photos to prove my loss from this mess - however I am afraid to calculate my loss - but I continue to polish a rock to save face - buyers beware - drive and have an inspection done before you buy - Extremely Disappointed Victim |
