OMG I HATE Blockbuster. Several years ago I rented a movie from them and yes, it was a day or so late, I turned it in and the next week I recieved a collections notice from my movie that was one or two days late. (Apparently they couldn't just wait to hand me the late fee until I came in to their store to rent another movie). I paid the fee and vowed to never go there again, but they kept sending me the same late fee over and over as if I had never paid it. I ended up going up the chain of command to get the letters to stop (all the while worrying about my credit score going down).
So fast forward to 2008, new town, I decided to give them one more try since nothing arrived that day from Netflix in my mailbox. I watched the movie from Blockbuster, turned it in the NEXT DAY, then about a week later I get a late fee in the mail that was sent to a collection agency. I personally went into Blockbuster to see what the deal was and was told that they automatically send the late fee notices out, even if you don't have a late fee. WTH??? The lady assured me I wouldn't get another one and so far it's been a couple of months and I have not. But I will NEVER EVER go to Blockbuster again. I don't care if I was on a deserted island and they were the only video store in town, I will NEVER give them so much as a penny of my money. I have no respect for their greedy little dishonest business and tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague.
