Main thread--Charter Billing Practices
State: CA Posted: 08/02/2008 Subject: Charter Cable General Service Comment: There should be a level of upset beyond pissed! I have never hated a service or company (Charter Communications) so much in my life!!! There will be absolutely NO exaggerating here! I live in a suburb of Los Angeles and Charter in like a terrible plague, but it is the only cable service available for miles. Someone came to my door one day and offered me the Charter bundle (Cable,DSL,Phone, etc.). It was just like the devil had come to my door so that I could sell him my soul, because from that day my life has been HELL! Charter charged me regular price every single month instead in the bundle special price, and when I called every month to correct it, they charged me regular price again the following month. Video On Demand would get stuck and not work for weeks at a time. If and when I would contact support, they would fix it from their end only for it (VOD) to be stuck again the following day. Once I had finally had enough, I tried to cancel my cable service and the Charter support lady told me that I would have to disconnect all of my cable boxex (including the brain in the garage which had a lock on the cable), and she told me that the cable guy would come by to pick up the boxes sometime between 8 am and 5 pm... but he may or may NOT come to the door, so be sure to look out for him during those 8 hours! I took the boxes back to Charter myself and I have never seen so many upset customers. What has brought me here to wright this complaint is that for the past couple of days my Charter DSL internet connection has been going off and on, off and on, off and on every few minutes even while writing this message. Once I cancel this DSL (today) I will NEVER use Charter again... NEVER!!! Someone give Charter some competition... PLEASE! Time to cancel my DSL! - CharterGo2Hell - |
