Subject: Dell Customer Service Horrible
Comment:
First of all dealing with these so-called customer service people in India is horrible. They gave my husband and I the run-around for a month and still couldn't resolve the issue. Needless to say I had reported them to the BBB. There response to the reoprtwas this, when I asked how I would be compensated for such poor customer service, I was told Dell doesn't believe in compensation. So she said they would assign a tech person to handle any warranty issues.

Here is just a small showing of my documented issues:
1. 6/6/08: I spent an hour in a chat session and on my cell phone wasting my cell phone minutes allowing Agent (Naina_183141) to access my system and attempt to figure out why my webcam would not work. The agent re-installed the drivers, which was not the issue because the webcam only worked for that day.
2. 6/23/08: I spent another time in a chat session with Agent (Amisha_112465) and Agent (Amanpreet_148316) and Vishal. In addition I also was on the phone with several agents. Again attempting to fix the webcam. And again there was no resolution. Case # 611650601 and Case #: 611650601. While chatting with Agent (Ashish_119105) I was instructed to go to a website so that the agent could access my system, which caused my system to lock-up and then caused Windows to freeze-up at the BIOS screen.
3. 6/24/08: I spoke with another agent on the phone and was instructed to use your DataSafe Online, which failed to save my files and caused me to lose all of the information on my laptop.
4. 6/25/08: A box was shipped to me via DHL to send the laptop to your Texas service facility to replace the webcam.
5. 7/3/08: I called and emailed about the status of my laptop. I was given a DHL tracking number of 59075858730, which showed there was an issue with the address. The address was mixed up from your service facility. DHL could not correct the issue without a faxed authorization via Dell. Agent Aemen, confirmed with me on the phone that this would be taken care of. Case # 613898733. It took me being transferred 5 times to get to this agent, which was very frustrating. In addition, the agent transferred me to her supervisor who wasn’t any help at all.
6. 7/7/08: I re-looked up my DHL tracking information and found that my laptop was sent back to your Texas service facility. This tells me I was lied to you that the faxed authorization was not sent to DHL. So I called and spoke with several agents in regards to my issue. I was told no one can do anything until the laptop arrives back in Texas. I spoke with Neha and George.

This is still on-going to me. I told the lady to note that my customer service issue is not resolved. Dell needs to bring our customer service back to America. I am telling you I will never buy a product from them again and I plan to make sure everyone knows about it.
