Comment:
First 14 days return policy is not disclosed in service agreement, and not properly disclosed in receipt (only shows up on the back of the purchase receipt). Keep in mind that when you purchase an iphone at a AT&T retail store you sign your service agreement contract by signing electronically on a LCD signature pad which only contains a signature line. One does not sign the purchased receipt. THIS 14 day return policy improper discloser is half of the problem. The other problem is a conflict of Apples 14 return policy and the 30 day period to cancel service agreement without an early termination fee with AT&T. Why is this a probelm? Because if you purchase an iphone for personal use and for whatever reason don't return the phone prior to the expiration of the 14 days from purchase yet would like to cancel your service agreement before 30 days lapse you are in essence forces into the contract or out of the contract but stuck with a very expensive phone that is not legal servicable by any other wireless carrier. IF you unlock it you void all Apple's warranty and according to Apple's policies it is also illegal to resale your iphone. So your stuck with your Iphone after 14 days, you can cancel your contract and leave AT&T but your not entitled for a refund even if you cancel your contract within 30 days of purchased, once you leave AT&T you not allowed to use it with other carriers, nor can you resale your iphone. IF you unlock it to service with other carrier Apple will break your iphone with the iBrick so that you won't be able to use and punish you for leaving AT&T. I don't want to get into the battery issues b/c that is another unethical thing the Apple is not properly disclosing or addressing. I refuse to do any future business with AT&T and Apple because their polcies and disclosure are unfair (illegal?)and anticonsumer. THen AT&T changes their return policy from 14 day to 30 days for the 3g phone, yet I confront them with this policy change and asked to grandfather me into it and allow me return my iphone since I was wihtin the 30 day period and they refuse to honor it. I was a loyal customer of AT&T since 1993 both residential and a wireless customer and they did'nt take that into consideration. I will never do business with them again, they don't care for their customers, all they care about is them making a buck at any cost. Now I'm with Comcast residental phone service and high speed internet service for half the price and better features and service for $75 per month.
