I recently put in a order for new service with charter, in my small little town they are pretty much the only provider. After getting the run around from charter and having them not show up. My services were interrupted because they did a search on my name and claim i have 7 other accounts that owe money. When calling charter retention dept. They found nothing matching my social security number, just my name, in various states. I explained to them I have never had service in my name, and they did not care. They are refusing to give me service and have taken the money that I had to pay for c.o.d charges and applied it to these others accounts. I have already placed a identity theft on my social security number, but this is ridiculous there is nothing on my credit report stating I owe charter anything. I am unable to get decent cable and internet services in my town now. Charter will not even let my husband put the services in his name. I am so upset, and everyone I all no one knows how to help me out. Anyone else have any issues like this from charter????
