Subject: billing issues, terrible customer service

everytime i set up a payment arrangement w/ a charter rep my service is still turned off before the day of the payment arrangement. this time it was turned off from the main power source outside. i called to ask what happened and i was told that they did not see the arrangement that i made and when i asked for the corporate # i was given the wrong #. i called back & was told they couldn't give me the # and hung up on. i called back again & was told they couldn't find the #. what's the point in making a payment arrangement if its not going to be honored? each time ive called in the last 5-6 wks ive been on the phone a minimum of 45 minutes and the cust serv rep transfers me to at least 2 or 3 different people. they treated me very rude and something needs to be done to improve the customer serv at charter comm. the reps need to type the payment arrangements into the computer and make sure they are saved. i'm having a b-day party tomorrow and have 25 kids coming over and no tv for them to watch. i called once a wk ( between 05-23-08 til 06-14-08) to make sure my service wouldnt be interrupted before thursday 06-19-08, which is when i agreed to call in a make my payment. each time i called i was told my service was not going to be turned off as long as i made my payment on 06-19-08.
