Main thread--iPhone Complaints
State: California Posted: 06/05/2008 Subject: If I only knew about the iPhone... Comment: I purchase this "Rotten Apple" on May 8th. Upon entering the At&t store I looked at a few phones and the sells person said that all there phones had a 30 day return/exchange policy. I finally decided on the iphone after talking with a co-worker who just purchased one and was totally in love with it. But soon after purchasing it I noticed that it couldn't do some of the basic things like, send and receive picture messages... But I figured that that was something I could deal with... Then I started to notice a number of things.... and by day 20 of owning the phone I had had enough. I took the phone back to At&t on the 24th day and was told that the purchase of apple products only allow me 14 day to return it... Which was totally contrary to what the sales person told me... Then they came up with this 14 item list that was suppose to be given to me to inital stateing this clause. Of course I never sign or initialed it so I wonder if I'm still liable to keep this phone...? But anyways, here's the list of items that I've found to be defective with the phone... iPhone PROBLEMS: Headphone jack only fits apple headphone! Can't send or receive picture texts directly! Can't forward any txts! Battery dies really fast! No Loss Prevention GPS or insurance is offerred! All phones except the iPhone offer a 30 day return policy... ... At&t did not make me aware of this 14 day return policy! Ironicly a 14 item return policy checklist that was suppose to be given to me to read initial and sign before the purchase of the iPhone, was overlooked. But actually was given to me upon returning to the store on the 24th day to ask about the stores return policy. WiFi does not always kick in when selected! The onscreen keyboard is a bit small and doesnt rotate when you turn the pod. For ppl wit fat fingers, texting takes forever, when ya have to keep going back and correct yourself! No videocam!? Silence/vibrate mode only silences calls not alarm! No voice dialing! |
