Charter ticks me off

Their "Customer service is farmed out to the Philippines and places in S. America!

Their customer representatives are of
NO Help
and have
NO Power
to change Billing unless it's in Greedy Charters Favor

My complaint is this --
I signed on to their basic 3 meg Internet service at $29 .95 mo, which increased to the "regular rate" of #39.95 per month after the introductory period,
which was fine.

THEN, late last year (2007) they included a "Free" 5MEg "preview" on my bill without any consent from me whatsoever.

Which leads to this...

LAST February my bill jumped to $55 / month supposedly, because the 3 meg service was no long available and now I am forced to pay for their 5 meg service that they say "Automatically" agreed to when they added the "Free" -- 5Meg "Preview" on my bill. A 70% INCREASE!

There must be something that can and should be done to reel in this Dishonest and Deceptive GREEDY Corporation.

Any suggestions?
