we've got a good system in australia, you get charged a $1 late fee per dvd, per day late and NEVER to your credit card, also if you pay the fees when you bring the movie/s back they halve the late fees, always very friendly and always willing to help.
never ever had a problem in the 10yrs i've been using blockbuster (ozzie) and i have used at least 15 different blockbuster stores. maybe the american blockbuster can take a few pointers on how they do it out here... maybe they would have a few more happy customers willing to come back.
