Did you read that, verizon? Taking people's money witout permission is FRAUD! Gloria, they have been doing the same thing to me. I lost and bought (on their advice) a cell phone. I did not look closely at my bill as I was worrying about how to pay for the new phone. Then one day, I noticed, that little box for those extra charges for text mail...something I NEVER wanted and it was Verizon that sent me messages daily. I thought they were free as I did not order text messaging. Then they allege I made all kinds of downloads. I would not ever use my cell to download anything...I have nothing to download. I also allegedly ordered Navigator and Premium Services. They have been throwing in those extra charges for months. I called and the representative said she could only deal with the current bill. Then, somewhere else says you can only go back 6-months... That makes me even more angry. I'm getting my money back. I will do whatever is necessary including hiring a lawyer and losing money in the end. Were the tables turned, they would make me pay ... through a nasty credit rating. Do we have to be the police? We identify the problem, gather all the evidence, attempt to get our money back and if that fails either give up or sue them. That all takes so many hours of my valuable time ... to resolve a problem intentionally caused by a vendor. Then they continue to defraud millions of others the same way. And, what of the older folk who just keep on paying. Keep up the fight!
