This is long, so bear with me. I have had Charter basic cable for many years. Then in March of this year I was offered to work from home. So, I called Charter and got their "bundle"...internet, phone and digital cable. They came out and installed the digital cable and internet on the same day. I couldn't get my vcr to record so I called Charter to ask them to tell me how to get it to record with the digital cable box. The person tried but did not know how to help. I still have not been able to use my vcr. Anybody out there get their vcr to work with digital cable? THEN...it took Charter 3 rescheduled appts to come and hook my phone up. They kept saying it was my old phone providers fault because I wanted to keep my same phone number. WHATEVER !
My internet has been freezing up since March 6th. They have been out here and replaced the modem. The tech said my area is KNOWN for a weak signal. Get the part that they KNOW about the problem already?Then it started freezing up again. I called on Thursday and got some guy I couldn't understand, told him my problem and he told me to..get this...contact my pc manufacturer cuz my pc is the problem! I hung up.
On Sat I was trying to do some work, it froze up really bad so I called Charter. Finally, got somebody who spoke "english". She did that speedtest thing and said I had a "signal fluctuation" and that it was a problem on their end. She scheduled me a "must fix" appt today (Sun) from 8-8...yeah, 8-8... I didn't hear anything so about 1:30 I called Charter just to get an ETA from the tech. They told me I had NO appt for today, that I had an appt for Tuesday from 10-2. I said NOOOO...I have an appt for today. I work from home and I need the problem resolved. Then they rambled something about it is a KNOWN problem in my area and a tech will be out to work on it. I asked why nobody called and told me this so I didn't sit here and wait for somebody to knock on my door. They just kept rambling on and on and trying to cover up their mess up. If it isn't fixed soon, I will have no choice but to find another provider. I am at my wits end !!! The end.
