State: wisconsin Posted: 04/11/2008 Subject: Hughesnet satellite internet Comment: I too have had this same problem with hughesnet. I have had my system for about 18 months now and while I`m paying 80.00 a month for as they say "up to 1000 kbs I`m lucky if my average connection speed over that period has been about 100 kbs. I have probably called tech support around 500 times and its always he same thing...we apologize for the inconveniance.I finally got to the point where when they said this to me I`d tell them to shut up and just fix the problem. They have now had my issue in the research department and they`re telling me they`re not sure how to fix the problem. Why is this company allowed to stay in business when 1st off they lie about they`re great customer satisfaction and 2nd they have obviously have no idea how to fix problems with they`re own system. Something needs to be done about this because they`re ripping people off. We paid approximately 500.00 for the satellite and equiptment (600.00 before the 100.00 rebate)and are getting charged 80.00 for our service and as you stated for what,we`re getting nothing more than energized dial-up. I feel your pain Marty! |
