Let me share my experience. In late October I was offered a deal of 129.99 to bundle my services with Directv. When I called Charter to cancel my cable and Internet, they informed me that they can beat that price. I said ok, and they quoted me a price of 124.99 for all 3. I was told that this offer was good for a year, and at the end of a year the price would increase by only $10 for the telephone. I thought that was a good deal, so I said ok. Well, I kept noticing that my bill wasn't getting any cheaper, so in January I called and asked why my bill was so much. At that point, I was informed by someone obviously outside of the U.S., that my rate had went up because my "internet promotion" had just run out. I expained that there was no way that my promotion had run out as I was only in the 3rd month of it. I then asked them how much my monthly bill was, and they totaled the services up and said it was $178.99!! When I asked about the $124.99, I was asked if I had any proof of that quote. They said that they had no record of this, and basically they would be happy to offer another bundle, but it would certainly not be at the $124.99 I was "supposedly" quoted. Needless to say I am in the process of switching all of my services from Charter. I have been with them for 12 years, and have never dealt with a more crooked business in my life. Good riddance!!
