We purchased a French door LG refrigerator 10-24-06. 14 months after the fact I came home and smelled something burning. Upon opening the refrigerator I noticed the digital display control box had melted from the roof of the ceiling. Everything on the top shelf was HOT!. Of course my LG warranty had expired, thank goodness I purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot. Of course the whole experience has been a nightmare, Home Depot did not register my appliance after they delivered it like they said they did. I would NEVER purchase an appliance from LG or Home depot again. They are not helpful and basically throw their hands in the air. I'm lucky it didn't overheat enough to cause my house to burn down.
