I just received the now infamous $3.25 check. I get these frequently from what I consider legitmate CC's to sign up for some stupid service that costs more than the benefit. I don't see this so much a scam as an offer to join a buying service for $89 per year; a Guaranteed $1000 in emergency cash (at what interest rate) and an 'application' for a Visa or Master Card. It does not apper that the promissed CC can buy anything outside their member service. I believe this plays to those with credit problems with the hope you can get re-established. Not the way to go. Thanks for running this board.
