Unsafe Vehicles. A review of consumer posts on the web regarding Uhaul reveal a number of complaints that they rent mechanically poor vehicles. The following is but an example: "The truck I rented did not have a 1st gear. The brakes worked very poorly. The brake lights, turn signals, and wiper did not work." Bronx, NY (02/06/2006).
