Ask a Plastic Surgeon / Breast Augmentation-Lift-Reduction
Question 47
Question: I had breast implants a year ago. The doctor was excellent, the breasts are beautiful, but small. I had discussed in length the size I wanted, and after the swelling subsided the breasts are way smaller than we had talked about. I'm so disappointed after going through the surgery, the scars etc. and the expense, to end up with the small breasts. My doctor is wonderful, and I feel bad about bringing it up to him that I'm so disappointed. Would another surgery be feasible?

Response: It is a relatively easy surgery, using, almost always, the same incisions with rapid recovery to go up in size. The opposite is not true and you should thank your doctor for being conservative, but, simply tell him that you wish to be larger. I am certain that he will be happy to do so - within reason.
